Connecting your Notion workspace

Connect a Notion workspace so Amendary can watch pages there and keep them in sync with what changed in your connected code. Any member of your team can start a connection; you don't need to be the workspace owner.

Before you connect, know that:

Connect a Notion workspace

  1. Open Settings and go to the Notion connections section.
  2. Select Connect Notion (this button reads Connect another Notion workspace once you already have one connected).
  3. On Notion's authorization page, choose the workspace you want to connect and select which pages to share with the integration, then confirm.
  4. You're returned to Amendary automatically.

Result: the workspace appears in your connections list with a status of ok. Pages you shared become available to map to a repository.

<aside> ✏ Connecting again does not replace an existing connection. It adds a separate one, so you can keep, for example, an internal engineering wiki and a public help center connected at the same time, each with its own access token and its own set of pages.

Why you might connect more than one workspace

A single team account can link several Notion workspaces at once. This is useful when your technical documentation and your customer-facing help center live in different Notion workspaces, or when different teams manage separate Notion accounts. Each connection tracks its own pages independently, so a page always belongs to exactly one connection.

Check a connection's status

Open Settings and view the Notion connections list. Each row shows:

Status What it means
ok The connection is healthy. The last page read succeeded.
unauthorized Notion refused a request, usually because access was revoked or the integration lost permission to a page. Reconnect to restore access.

<aside> ⚠ If a connection shows unauthorized, pages read through it stop being checked against your code changes until you reconnect. Corrections for those pages will not be generated while the connection is in this state.

Disconnect a Notion workspace

Each connection in Settings has its own Disconnect button. Disconnecting removes that workspace's link and stops any further reads through it; pages already mapped to repositories through that connection will no longer be checked until you reconnect.
